Who We Are
The Global Markets Association provides Northeastern students with an opportunity to further their knowledge and understanding of existing and emerging markets around the globe.
We have weekly meetings (every Monday, 7:00-8:00PM, Curry Student Center 344) in which our education team(s) present updates on a specific market within our covered countries (such as Real Estate, Foreign Exchange, Private Equity in China, etc.), and discuss the potential implications that current events may have on the future outlook of that market. Meeting formats will include presentations on the current state/relevance of a particular market, Q&A sessions with guest speakers, case study analyses, and educational workshops that are tailored to our members' more specific interests in a particular market. Additionally, we provide opportunities for students to join our research team and get involved in researching various Chinese or Indian markets and publishing research reports.
Mission
The primary goal of GMA is to facilitate opportunities for students to build connections with peers, faculty, and professionals through a shared interest in the global economy/financial markets, and particularly China and India's respective role within this area. We strive for our each of our meetings, workshops, events, and research publications to serve as valuable learning opportunities for our club members, helping them develop their interest and understanding of this complex space.
Vision
At GMA, we strongly believe that understanding the emerging economies is key to understanding our current world. Through providing opportunities to analyze and explore various economies through multiple lenses, we strive to help students gain a holistic perspective of them and their relevance in our world.
